Consequences Spinner

Dinner & Drinks

You and your friends wanted to catch up over a bite to eat. And you also caught up on a few drinks. Dinner is over and everybody’s got work in the morning. It’s time to go home. What next?

Good call.

At the last minute, you called for a ride and avoided a DWI (which you can get for having any amount of alcohol in your body while driving). That good decision saved you more than legal issues and fines—it may have saved lives.

Oh no!

You didn’t want to wait for a sober ride home and you crashed your car. Thankfully you didn’t injure anyone else, but now you’re spending the night in jail and about to be responsible for a litany of fines, fees and legal hassles. Oh, and you’ll need a new car. But no rush on that—you won’t have a driver’s license for quite a while.

Bye-bye license!

You didn’t want to leave your car at the bar, so you tried to drive home drunk. You got pulled over and ended up losing a night’s sleep in jail, thousands of dollars in fines and fees and your driver’s license. Guess it’s time to dust off that bicycle.

Buzz kill.

You attempted to drive yourself home and landed in jail—because buzzed driving is drunk driving. You couldn’t make bail, so you didn’t make it to work the next morning and you got the ax. Now you’re stuck with up to $17K in fines and fees and no way to pay them :(

DWI = $$$

Your tab was high, but those DWI costs are even higher. You could’ve called a rideshare, but you tried to drive home instead. Now you’re stuck paying up to $17K in fines and fees and you’re in jail for the night. Let the penny-pinching begin.

DD Hero!

Your friend took one for the team and chose not to drink any alcohol tonight so they could be the designated driver. A DD Hero! You get a safe ride home and everyone gets to avoid DWIs or worse—a fatal crash. You can repay the favor by choosing a night not to drink so you can be their hero.

Good thinking!

You and your friends decide to take a rideshare, so no one is left out of the fun. Everyone gets home safely, without injury or a DWI, although you may have annoyed your driver with your loud (and not totally in tune) singing on the way home.

You were wrong.

You thought you could handle driving home, but you were wrong. You were pulled over and blew a .08 BAC. Now you’ll spend the night in jail, lose your driver’s license and pay up to $17K in fines and fees. Next time don’t risk it.

Major fail.

You were so close to home, but you didn’t see a stop sign and then came those dreaded flashing lights. You were sure you weren’t over the legal limit of .08 BAC, and you were right. But ANY alcohol in your system can land you a DWI if it impairs your driving, so you got one. Get a sober ride next time.

Worst-Case Scenario.

You hoped you were sober enough to drive home, but you were dead wrong. You crashed your car, hurting yourself and killing your friend in the passenger seat. You’ll have to live with that the rest of your life. Driving drunk isn’t worth it.

Where's my car!?

At home! Remember how smart you were when you decided to take a rideshare there instead of driving!? Now just call them back for a safe ride home. The cost of a ride is nothing compared to the costs of a DWI . . . plus your bed sounds a lot more inviting than a jail cell bunk. Now go pass out!

Terrible idea.

You thought you could handle driving. You didn’t want to call a rideshare or accept a ride from a friend since it was so late. You got pulled over and spent the rest of the night in jail. That DWI ended up costing you almost $17K in fines and fees and serious legal hassles. Next time, just get a ride.
